Brian Jonestown Massacre’s singles have been re-mastered from the original vinyl and are now available on one compilation for the first time.

This double CD features 14 tracks that have never before been available on CD and all tracks are completely different from versions previously found on any full length Brian Jonestown Massacre album. The albums also feature two exclusive tracks from the band’s alter ego Acid - Convertible and Their Majesties 2nd Request (Enrique’s Dream) recorded in 1993 and only available on this CD and the original 7”. They feature here alongside tracks from their most recent 2011 vinyl single release, Illuminomi and There’s A War Going On.

The 2xCD comes with a 24 page booklet featuring the front and back album artwork of the original covers.

Originally Newcombe was heavily influenced by The Rolling Stones’ psychedelic phase (the name comes from Stones guitarist Brian Jones combined with a reference to cult leader Jim Jones) but his work in the 2000′s has expanded into aesthetic dimensions approximating the UK Shoegazing genre of the 1990′s and incorporating influences from world music, especially Middle Eastern and Brazilian music.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre has been somewhat of a musical commune for many respected musicians over the years, a band from the 1990’s that has spawned other great bands ever since. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Warlocks, The Silver Rockets, The Black Angels, The Raveonettes and The Dilettantes (to name a few) are all part of this musical family tree. Indeed, this is a band that has witnessed many incarnations since its inception in San Francisco in 1992.
